Day 1

  • After Breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 8

  • After Breakfast, depart for Arusha.

  • After lunch, depart for Arusha Airport to catch your flight to the Indian Ocean Island of Zanzibar.

  • Transfer from Zanzibar Airport to the Tamarind Beach Hotel on a Half Board.

 

Days 9 - 12

This 5-day safari is the shortest we would recommend for those wanting to see a good cross selection of wildlife. Of course, this is one of many possible itineraries and we are more than happy to alter the itinerary to suit.

TARANGIRE, LAKE MANYARA AND NGORONGORO CRATER - 5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS

 

Day 0

  • Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, to be met and transferred to Arusha. 

  • Accommodation at The Leopold@Burka coffee lounge (Bed/breakfast)

 

Day 1

  • After breakfast, drive 120 km to the Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its dense wildlife concentration. During the dry season, it is home to thousands of animals, elephants, buffalos, kudus, giraffes and predators and also many varieties of birdlife. 

  • Lunch, dinner and overnight at the Tarangire Safari Lodge, a tented camp with a swimming pool - www.tarangiresafarilodge.com

 

Day 2

  • Early morning game drive. 

  • After breakfast continue with game drive. 

  • Full board accommodation at the Tarangire Safari Lodge.

 

Day 3

  • Early morning game drive if interested. 

  • After breakfast, drive to the Lake Manyara National Park, the park famous for its tree-climbing lions and underground rainforest. The park has countless flamingoes and other water birds. 

  • Packed lunch to be served during park drive. 

  • Dinner and overnight at the Bougainvillea Safari Lodge

 

Day 4

  • After breakfast, drive to the verdant Ngorongoro Conservation area to descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a declared UNESCO World Heritage site. It is home to up to 30,000 animals including black rhino, predators, ungulates and uncountable birds. 

  • Picnic lunch. 

  • Dinner and overnight at the Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.

 

Day 5

  • After leisurely breakfast, drive towards Arusha. On the way is your opportunity to acquire keepsakes.
